Pune RTO & Rotary Club of Amanora conducted a NO HONKING awareness campaign on 12th September 2018. The event is well supported by Mr.Anthon a social activist who was very instrumental in getting this message across to all the Pune citizen. To set an example, he has been driving 4 wheel without HORN for more than 3 years now, moreover he has created a website www.saynohonking.com. The activity was also supported by Design Media & Edutainment School – Camp. The students conducting a Road show in Camp area, The Officials and the students interacted with motorists and also pasted no-honking stickers, distributed hand bands at the busy traffic intersections of near Ambetkar chowk Camp. On concluding Mr.Sathish Narayanan – Past President Rotary club of Amanora said it is really imperative to create such awareness programme. Day-by-day the traffic in Pune is increasing and the noise pollution are very high. We must appreciate people like Anthon for taking such initiative. In Rotary we are also planning to initiate solution for Traffic blocks, we need support from the public.
