Non Rotary Partners | Reviving Livelihood is a joint initiative by the Rotary Club of Pune Amanora and Spherule Foundation to help the poor and needy to jumpstart their livelihood and win the battle of life. So far we have supported more than 200+ families. Currently, we are executing this initiative in five different states and more than seven locations. In our Reviving Livelihood Initiative today (5/Jul/2023), we managed to support beneficiaries in Delhi and Nuh. In Delhi, we helped Mudabbir, Mohammad Toriq, and Vijay in the Mehrauli area. They lost their livelihood due to disability caused by disease or accidents. They had skills but due to the limitations, some of them started begging. We enabled them with hand-driven tricycles and some stationery items and household goods to revive their livelihood. They all have extraordinary stories to tell about their grit and determination. Their business started even before we could cut the ribbon. In Nuh, we gave sewing machines to Fazri and Fahmida. They both have skills for stitching. Our team also gave them permanent business and connected them to wholesalers who constantly need a supply of cloth bags. So their business kickstarted on day zero. |
